Flying

My favorite activity in the entire world is flying.  My interest in flying predates any other interest I have.  My mom said the first words out of my mouth were "airplane."  So I guess I was hooked on airplanes before I even knew what flying was all about.

When I retire from the Army I want to fly either as an airline pilot or as a corporate pilot.  I think I would prefer flying as a corporate pilot because my career would last longer given that the FAA still has an archaic rule that requires airline pilots to retire at 60 whether or not they are still physically and mentally fit to fly.  Until I retire from the Army, I will continue to rent (or if I get rich, buy) an airplane and fly myself so I can continue to build the time I need to get hired.  I will also continue to instruct to make the cost of time building a little less expensive.

The Piper Seminole I flew while I lived in Kansas City.  This picture was taken in Augusta, GA while I was on a LONG series of cross country flights that took me from Kansas City, to Oklahoma, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky.
